Hello world — we’re on our way!

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime.

– Mark Twain

Welcome to our travel blog! This is our first post. Below is a map of our anticipated route around the world! We would love to hear from you — any tips, suggestions, or things you think we should see along the way! Just let us know (in comments), and thanks in advance for sharing!

We are bringing camouflage

Below is a picture of our home city — Indianapolis! So we remember what we are leaving behind…

Great pictures!! I haven’t heard from Max, Zoe or Jackie. Nothing long but what are your impressions.
It would be nice if we had just one street with that pedestrian count & that kind of sidewalk marketing. Looks great

I keep asking the kids to post. Zoe has been taking notes about all the different experiences, noting comments and remarks she finds noteworthy and funny, so when she writes, she should have material to share!

As for second part, yes, there is virtually no similarity between Tokyo and Indy in terms of street level activity! 40 million people make for a vibrant place! We are having a GREAT time so far!

Bob, after 24 hours of waking travel and being on time zone that is 13 hours ahead, give us time to get bearings. Will post in next day or two.

I know… we made it. all is well. I just posted our first part of Day 1 (I know we’ve been gone for 2 days, but we’ve only been here less than a day).

Have a safe and wonderful trip! I can’t wait to hear all about it when you return. And yes, it will probably take me 80 days to pull our SKL class together for our next social anyway.
